Camera Inspection
A sewer camera is a small, handheld tool that allows Water Management Inc. to see inside a sewage line.  When experiencing a drain line that does not function well, Water Management Inc. can provide you with  a camera inspection to help with identifying the issue.
A sewer camera will be installed inside the sewer drain line. The problem area is located with a tracking device and sensors, enabling our technicians to see the inside of the pipe and detect any obstructions or other problems, such as a broken or collapsed pipe. The sewer camera inspection will also find the exact location of the issue above ground. At that point, Water Management Inc. determines how and where to make the drain line repair. In most cases, a sewer cleaning may need to be performed first in order to get a clear view with the sewer camera.
Sewer camera inspections are performed from what is called a “cleanout” (sewer pipe access point). It is a cap located on the sewer pipe. Â Found either on the sewer pipe where it passes through your basement floor or foundation on its way toward the street. It may also be found outside the home foundation in the lawn area.
Some homes in New Jersey do not have an access point to the sewer line, a toilet can be removed to do so. Â Removing the toilet will allow Water Management Inc. to insert the sewer camera. Water Management Inc. will reset the toilet after the sewer camera inspection. It is better to have a cleanout (access point) installed on the sewer pipe for easier access.Â
We are open 24/7. Call Water Management Inc. to schedule an appointment anywhere in New Jersey.
